Pastor's Profile
Pastor Desmond Clarke grew up in the inner-city sub community of Hermitage in August Town. He was born to parents who went above and beyond in doing the best they could in raising 3 boys and 1 girl. As he got older and opportunities in his community seemed to be reducing; Pastor Clarke ventured out in search of “something greater”. As a young man, he recalled “I was faced with much of what the average young man growing up in the inner-city is faced with.” Noticeably however, God was at work, and he escaped the fate of many of his peers at the time.
His pastoral journey is a new and enlightening one. However, it has its beginning back at his home church, Kencot SDA where he was baptised on December 24, 2005. Currently he serves as the first Pastor of the St. D’acre District of Churches. He believes that he didn’t choose ministry, it was God who chose him for the honor.
Pastor Desmond Clarke Jnr. Is happily married to the lovely Mrs. Myra Clarke. They have two children, twins Mikhae’el and Mikhae’lia.
He holds as his personal pastoral vision: To live a life of Practical Christianity in complete harmony with Jesus Christ and is word; teaching all others to do the same and consequently, be constantly living readiness for our savior's soon return.
