Pastor Baptizes 27 in His Inaugural Evangelistic Series
The Stettin District of Seventh-day Adventist Churches in South Trelawny has seen 27 new members added to its spiritual family, at the end of the “Transformed through His Word” Evangelistic Campaign, with Pastor Wayne Woolery.
The programme, held at the Allsides Playfield in Stettin, from July 14 through August 10, was a joint effort between four of the six churches which comprise the Stettin District.
“It was a joyous and spirit-filled experience, to see the church and community members tuning into the Word of God each evening. The support of the brethren was exceptional and we thank God for the souls born to the kingdom”, said District Pastor, Wayne Woolery.
Speaking with one of the new believers, Sister Lenoris Cunningham-Blake, she exclaimed, “It has really made a change in my life and I feel God’s presence with me! It’s so good to be a child of God!”
The Stettin District of Churches includes the Stettin, Litchfield, Lorrimers, Joe Hut, Ulster Spring and Alps congregations. It is one of two districts located in the Southern section of Trelawny in the North Jamaica Conference (NJC).
Sabbath School & Personal Ministries Director of NJC, Pastor Mobrey Lewis, applauded the efforts of the Stettin District: “We are very happy for Pastor Woolery, a young minister, who has just taken up his first pastoral assignment, and is doing extremely well. We are truly grateful for the 27 precious souls brought to the Lord through the efforts of Pastor Woolery and his team. We pray that God will continue to bless him and his ministry”
First Elder of the Stettin Church and Co-Evangelist, Brian Folkes, added his voice: “The fellowship and the level of cooperation between the churches were excellent. From the beginning to the end, the brethren gave their fulsome support. We are also praising God for our new believers and we have already put plans into place to nurture them, as they grow in the Lord.”
Woolery was installed as Stettin District Pastor, on December 15, 2018, and has baptized over 39 persons since the start of 2019. This is his first pastoral district, having served as an intern pastor in NJC since September 2017, fresh out of the Northern Caribbean University (NCU).
