The programme, which began on August 4, 2026, comprised 12 modules delivered over 12 weeks through 24 sessions, providing 48 hours of instruction in addition to the master class. Delivered by the NJC, the training featured presenters from the Inter-American Division, the Jamaica Union Conference and the North Jamaica Conference.
Of the 377 people who initially enrolled, more than 150 remained through the end of the training. The master class brought participants together for further preparation as they moved from instruction to practical evangelism.

The trainees are now undertaking their practicum, during which each participant is tasked with winning at least one person for Christ. This forms part of the requirements for graduation at camp meeting, where successful participants will be certified as ready for evangelistic service.
The Gospel Preparation School is the brainchild of NJC President Pastor Jermaine Johnson. As the conference’s school of evangelism, GPS provides structured training to equip church members to take an active role in sharing the gospel.
The NJC plans to offer additional training programmes through the school each year, continuing its work to prepare members to fulfil the church’s mandate to carry the everlasting gospel to the entire world.
For the trainees, the next stage takes their learning beyond the classroom and into their communities, where they will put their preparation into practice by leading others to Christ.
