Pastor's Profile

Born and raised in Falmouth, Trelawny, Pastor Kirkwood Parkinson, graduated from the Herbert Morrison Technical High School in St. James, with a diploma in Engineering. While working at Forgo Electronics, he accepted the Seventh-day Adventist faith and was baptized in the year 2000.

Pastor Kirkwood Parkinson has served his church in various capacities: A.Y. leader, deacon, Assistant Treasurer, Sabbath school teacher, Assistant Personal Ministry director and also as President of the Youth Fellowship club at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Falmouth. After serving in the church for a number of years, he applied to the Northern Caribbean University in 2005 and was accepted.

While attending university, Pastor Parkinson was not satisfied with just being a regular student, so he joined the North Jamaica Club where he served as Chaplain, Vice President of Religious Affairs, and then President. He was also a leader and driver for various outreach programs and was voted most outstanding community student in 2008 - 2009. He also became the President of the United Student Movement (U.S.M.) of Northern Caribbean University during his final year, the 2009-2010 regime.

After graduating with a Bachelor’s of Art degree in Pastoral Ministry in 2010, he was employed by the North Jamaica Conference of Seventh-day Adventist and has served as senior pastor in the Bamboo, Claremont, and Exchange districts.

Currently, Pastor Parkinson holds a Master of Art degree in Pastoral Theology (MAPth) and serves as pastor of the St. Ann’s Bay district of Seventh-day Adventist churches and Family Ministries Director of the North Jamaica Conference.

He is happily married to the beautiful Tanika Dixon-Parkinson and they both share two wonderful children, Kirkwood (Junior) and Victoria Parkinson.

However, above and beyond all, Pastor Kirkwood Parkinson is a servant of God and a friend to man.

His philosophy is, “the secret of being a saint is being a saint in secret”.
